Plat of the Southampton subdivision and two plats of Harriett Allen's Estate, located in the Downtown district southwest of the intersection of present-day Kecoughtan Road and Victoria Boulevard near Sunset Creek. Surveyed by Girard Chambers & Son. Dated 1899-1940.
-Plat, labeled "Southampton West Division Adjoining City of Hampton VA." Includes Kecoughtan Road, Sunset Road, Henry Street, Earl Street, Columbia Avenue, Southampton Avenue, and Ivy Home Road. Lower left corner reads "File Drawer 3 Field Book 35." Surveyed by Girard Chambers & Son. Dated June 1940.
-Plat, labeled "Plat of Harriett Allen's Estate Surveyed at Request of Walker and Mann, Adms." Includes a portion of the "Newport News & Old Point Railway" (currently Victoria Boulevard), Allen Street, Harriett Street, an "11 Ft. Lane" (currently part of South Street), and two other "lanes" which do not currently exist as pictured. Also includes Herberts Creek (Sunset Creek) and a note on one lot which reads "Given John Roberts and Accepted by him in Lien of a Questionable Section in Will Concerning 2 Acres of Land Calling for Jones as a Boundry instead of Roberts, he already had 2 Acres" and "See Plat Hutton." Lower right corner lists heirs as: John Roberts, Indiana Combs, Dollie Watts, Mary E. Tabb, Henrietta Jones, Rosetta Brown, Hattie Burrell, Cora Banks. Surveyed by Girard Chambers, Sr. Dated March 11, 1899.
