Description/Scope & Content History of Barnie's Bar and Grill at Buckroe Beach, written by Jerry Harden, who owned Barnie's with his wife Vera. The history describes bands and musical acts, band agents, dancing at the nearby Dance Pavilion, bartenders, doormen, food and beer, appearances by Flash Gordon and Billie Gordon, music audible from nearby Buckroe Beach resort, the first bikinis, pool tables and coin machines, arm wrestling, integration, local fights, return of Vietnam veterans, "characters" who frequented the business, and women who served beer. The history was written in 1989 in advance of a planned reunion for its 25th anniversary.
