Burke et als," a legal dispute over "breach of agreement on sale of BURKE'S land sold to T. TABB & H. C. WHITING after an agreement to sell to WILLIAM PORTER of Bridgeport Conn- represented by SAM W. MORTON of Washington, DC." Includes evidence and testimony relevant to the dispute. Last page contains a note that reads, "PS- There is a Plat 2 Wm S. Howard's 'Bates Land' in Survey Book #1 p. 194 Notes p. 162 (Wm. Semples)." Unsigned. Dated 1877- 1878.
