Description/Scope & Content Postcard with sketch of St. John's Church as it appeared in the early 19th century. Caption in upper right corner reads: "St. John's Church before the Civil War. Third Church in Hampton, built 1728. HAMPTON, Virginia". Reverse side lists 1943 Palm Sunday and Easter Services, including sermon and hymn information. Signed by Mary Gorton Darling and addressed to Mrs. Ralph James, 1506 Boulevard, Hampton Va., in blue ink. "Box 344" is also written in pencil below the address. Postmarked Hampton, April 14, 2 pm, 1943.
