Description/Scope & Content Plat, labeled "Site of Proposed Bridge Across Back River from Todd's Point to Sherwood Point." Plat shows a large area of the City of Hampton encompassing multiple districts and includes the Downtown area, "Hampton & Langley Field RY," and "Site of Army Aviation School." Proposed bridge (shown in red) is located on present-day N. King Street. Plat also includes multiple waterways including the Back River (including Northwest and Southwest Branches), Hampton River, and Harris Creek. Note in upper left corner indicates plat is "From Virginia Hampton Quadrangle U.S. Geo. Survey Map." Lower left corner reads, "File Drawer 1H." Surveyed by Girard Chambers. Dated 1917.
