Description/Scope & Content Undated fragment of letter from Ann Massenburg Booker to son Hunter Russell Booker. First page describes weather and health, letters found "after the war" in trunk belonging to Bettie Booker. Reverse side describes character of man, likely writer's spouse George Booker, and that "privation and disease crushed him during that horrid state of vandalism" (likely the Civil War).
